The RNA is currently seeking 2x Competitions Administrator to support the Competitions and Events team to ensure the smooth delivery of competitions and any associated events held within the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka), and Royal Queensland Awards (RQA).The successful applicant will have the enthusiasm to succeed within a fast-paced environment and the desire to work with a dynamic close-knit team. This is a very exciting opportunity to get an inside look into QLDs largest event, including stakeholder management, logistics, people management and large-scale event operations.This is a fixed term contract on a full-time basis until the end of August 2024.About the businessThe Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) is a member-based organisation. The organisation''s charter is to celebrate and champion the essential role agriculture plays in the everyday lives of Queenslanders.The RNA runs the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka), Queensland''s largest event, on behalf of the community for 9 days each year in August. Staged at its original birthplace, the Brisbane Showgrounds, the Ekka showcases its unique tradition and heritage by bringing the city and country together for a once-a-year get-together. On average 400,000 people gather to see thousands of exhibits, 10,000 animals, world-class entertainment and taste award-winning food and wine.ResponsibilitiesProvided first and second level support in a timely manner to Exhibitors who have general enquiries or who wish to enter one of the 58 different competitions run by the RNA. This results in general competitions enquiries, systems troubleshooting, and account activation.Assist Competition Planners with event bump in and bump outProcess entries and entering data into the ACE system for all manual entries received.Follow up incomplete entries to ensure they are processed prior to competition close dates.Prepare Judges & Stewards packs for each section.Prepare reports, mail merge lists, tags and other documents related to competitions.Prepare judging sheets and input competition results into ACE and produce relevant certificates and/or other related items in a timely manner.Undertake general administration tasks to support the Competitions and Event Teams to help ensure their competitions and events run smoothly, including resolving issues in a timely fashion when they arise.Skills and experienceTo be successful in the role you would need to possess the following:Experience with advanced level Office 365 functions.Ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of people with competing priorities.Ability to work under pressure, prioritise according to tight deadlines.Fast and accurate data entry skills, with excellent attention to detail.Proactive approach, using initiative to pre-empt potential issues and resolve.To be considered for this role, please ensure you include a one-page Cover Letter addressing the above selection criteria and your current Resume in your application.Please note interviews may be held prior to the closing date.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeContractJob functionAdministrative, Customer Service, and ManagementIndustriesEvents Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
