Job Title

Reporting to the Data Engineering Manager, your primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership in the design, development and operation of systems to efficiently acquire, ingest, process and store data sets for the consumption by the data applications and data platforms.You will design and drive the development of data engineering solutions ensuring that solutions balance functional and non-functional requirements, whilst aligning to strategic objectives. Additionally, you will monitor the application of data standards and architectures including security and compliance.Key requirements:6+ years of experience with data analysis and preparation, including considerable experience with very large data sets and unstructured dataStrong experience in database development & data model designExtensive experience in SQL.Extensive experience with at least two of the following technologies: Python, Scala, JavaExtensive experience in multiple database technologies such as:Distributed ProcessingTraditional RDBMSMPP (Snowflake)NoSQLDBTExperience working with Agile processes and practicesExperience in the implementation and operation of cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure)Experience working with dev-ops practicesExceptional written and verbal communication and problem-solving capabilities.Tertiary qualified, you are a well-rounded data professional with relatable Data Engineering experience working in an enterprise data warehouse environment.
