The company provides a wide range of core civil engineering services, offering innovative and efficient solutions to meet project requirements.Role Description:This is an on-site role for a Civil Maintenance Supervisor located in Sydney, NSW. The Civil Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance activities, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and effectively.Day-to-day tasks include:Supervising maintenance crews, subcontractors, and other personnel.Developing and implementing maintenance schedules that ensure minimal disruption to public services and infrastructure.Monitor and inspect works to ensure high standards are maintained and any defects or issues are promptly fixed.Enforce Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety across all maintenance activities.Liaise with local government representatives, clients, the community, and residents, to ensure project requirements and expectations are met; and assist with their queries.Oversee the upkeep of civil assets such as roads, footpaths, drainage systems, and public spaces - ensuring they meet council and regulatory standards.Monitor resource allocation, equipment usage, and project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.Maintain accurate records of work progress, works completed, staff allocation/attendance, material orders, safety incidents, compliance reports, and provide regular updates to management and clients.Lead the response to urgent maintenance requests and breakdowns, coordinating repairs in a timely manner.Qualifications:Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction, Engineering, or a related field.White Card (Construction Induction).Current drivers license (MR or HR preferred but not required).First Aid and CPR certification (preferred but not required).Experience:Experience in civil construction or maintenance.Demonstrated experience in supervising civil projects and maintenance teams.Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure, including roads, drainage, and footpaths.Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams.Experience with concrete and asphalt works, stormwater drainage, and road maintenance.Technical & Soft Skills:Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities.Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.Strong understanding of WHS regulations and environmental compliance.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (preferred).What We Offer:Competitive salary package with opportunities for career growth.Supportive and dynamic work environment with a strong focus on safety.Ongoing training and development opportunities.Exposure to a variety of civil projects across Sydney and surrounding areas.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and ManufacturingIndustriesCivil Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr
