Actively participate in the establishment of a health and safety culture. Comply with all health and safety, environmental and regulatory policies relating to the project and ensure a safe working environment. Ensure all health, safety and environmental incidents are reported. Develop operating standards, methods and procedures related to production and operational tasks. Ensure the department''s long-term targets are identified and achieved through planning, scheduling and strategy implementation. Co-ordinate activities as part of the site leadership team to ensure the continuous supply of ore to achieve planned concentrate production, plant reliability and cost performance. Contribute to the development of strategic and annual plans, monitor/evaluate performance and provide business analysis for the operation. Resolve short to medium term production issues associated with the operating plant, identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects. Operate the Tailings Storage Facility. Review and improve standards and safe operating procedures for all processing production/operational tasks. Develop, plan and implement/oversee strategies for continuous improvement in the processing plant performance. Maintain the Processing Operations personnel competencies and authorisations in line with the Training Needs Analysis, and contribute to the development of the training needs analysis. Manage the distribution of skills within the crews to ensure that the supervision, training and permits are provided. All aspects of people leadership including recruitment, performance management and development. Develop a team culture of continuous improvement aligned with Covalents values. Build organisational capability (people & organisational structure, personnel, and contractors) to successfully deliver the processing operations budget. Develop and maintain constructive relationships with colleagues, business partners, regulators, government and other stakeholders, utilising these relationships to successfully resolve issues if, or when, they arise.Role Requirements Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering and/or trade qualification desired but not essential. Certificate IV in Frontline Leadership desired but not essential. Valid drivers license. First Aid certificate. WA Radiation Safety qualifications desired but not essential. 5+ years in fixed plant processing, including at least 2 years supervisory and/or leadership experience. Experience in hard rock lithium processing desired but not essential. Processing knowledge and experience in operating crushing, dense medium separation, milling, and flotation circuits as well as wet tailings storage facilities. Experience in being involved in commissioning and delivering operational improvement projects, but not essential. Demonstrated track record of problem solving and solution implementation in a multi-discipline team-based environment. Operating SCADA and DCS control systems desired but not essential. Ability to communicate well at all levels of the organisation, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
