Our 99,600 employees operate a network of 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.Job DescriptionBased in Kalgoorlie, WAPermanent Full-time PositionSGS is looking for an experienced Geotechnician to assist with performing testing of construction materials through destructive and non-destructive testing techniques, while providing a safe, efficient and high-quality testing service to our clients.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist with the initial preparation of samples for testing.Perform routine testing.Collect and log samples.Perform routine calibration and setup of equipment.Carry out routine maintenance of equipment.Maintain cleanliness of equipment and working areas.Ensure safe working practices are followed.Correlate test data for evaluation by a higher classified person.Prepare basic reports.Contribute to team discussions regarding the continuous improvement and efficiency of the laboratory.Perform other duties as required in the laboratory.QualificationsSuitable candidates will have:Certificate III in Laboratory TechniquesPrevious experience working within a laboratory environmentWA C Class Drivers LicenceGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow both written and verbal instructionsGood grasp of numbering and orderingAdditional InformationWHY WORK FOR SGS?Working at SGS means joining an innovative, global company.
