Packaging Technologist / Senior Packaging Technologist1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicantsBase pay range$100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yrCompany DescriptionYFY Jupiter is a global, integrated brand packaging services company specializing in sustainable packaging.As a member of the Packaging Professional Service team in Australia, you will work with a team of specialists to develop and implement sustainable packaging solutions for Coles Supermarket and their Coles Own Brand packaging. You will work closely with Coles and their suppliers to help Coles achieve their Sustainable Packaging goals and align with the APCO National Packaging Targets.Role Reporting to: Packaging Professional Services TeamWhat You Will Do:As a packaging knowledge leader, you will work as a member of the client-facing project team to deliver the assigned project(s) and project scope(s).Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.Play an integral role in key packaging decisions and developing effective working relationships. Gather and analyze information, formulate possible solutions, and communicate recommendations.Develop and validate packaging specifications.Document status updates across multiple internal tools.Other duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned.QualificationsDegree in a Science and/or technical discipline (e.g., Food Science, Food Technology, Packaging is preferred).2-5 years of packaging experience is preferred (e.g., FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing).5 years + experience in a packaging technologist role to be considered for Senior role.Experienced in one or more of the following packaging domains: Sustainable Packaging, circular economy, materials science, material lifecycle management, packaging supply chain management, retail and merchandising packaging development, packaging engineering, regulatory compliance, and packaging design.Experience working with multiple packaging formats and materials.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.Strong written and verbal business communication skills.Self-starter with the ability to work in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office software and data analysis.Experience with APCO reporting, PREP tool is preferred.Able to work in a hybrid work environment, collaborating with teams in different international time zones based on project assignments.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionDesign, Art/Creative, and Information TechnologyIndustriesPackaging and Containers Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
