We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Lawyers to join our General Counsel team.As a Lawyer, in our ATO Corporate business area, you will play a leading role in providing legal advice and dispute resolution services for the ATO. You will analyse, interpret and apply legislation, policies, practices and precedents to resolve complex legal issues, escalating where appropriate.You will apply extensive knowledge and experience in the provision of legal advice to senior leadership. You''ll identify, evaluate and manage the resolution of complex and/or sensitive issues and take ownership for actions taken. You''ll lead a small team and improve legally sound decision making by developing staff capability and mentoring less experienced lawyers.These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD or Sydney CBD.
