These services are delivered via the Blackwood District, located at Busselton with work centres at Margaret River, Nannup and Kirup, and the Wellington District, located at Collie with a smaller work centre at Harvey.We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Operations Officer to join our team.Under immediate direction, you will:Assist with the delivery of conservation, parks and visitor services, sustainable forest management and fire management programs within the South West region.Liaise with district and regional personnel as appropriate, to achieve the organisation and implementation of allocated works programs.The position can operate across all the services within the districts of the region depending upon the development program engaged in and the operational needs of the region.Selection CriteriaApplicants should address the following three (3) criteria, including where possible the desirable criterion. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total.Some knowledge (Level 1) and experience (Level 2) in working in natural land management or a closely related field or a related technical area, with a preference for some experience in recreation management and knowledge of conservation and other land management issues.Broad understanding of the issues involved in planning and implementing works programs.Some knowledge of the principles involved in developing and monitoring budgets.
