If you''re an Undergraduate Accountant, please apply for this unique opportunity to build your experience and skills!MANAGER AND POSITION TITLEYou will report to a Client Manager and will work in a team with other Accountants, Senior Accountants and Supervisors. Your position title will be Junior or Undergraduate Accountant. We are looking for this position to be part time, for example 2 or 3 days per week.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Junior Tax Accountant will support the tax team in preparing and filing tax returns, assisting with tax planning and research, and providing high-quality service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen interest in developing their tax expertise.Key Responsibilities INCLUDEAssist in the preparation and filing of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returnsWork closely with clients to gather necessary information and documents for tax return preparation, ensuring accuracy and completenessConduct tax research and assist in developing tax planning strategies to optimize clients tax positionsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulationsAssist in the preparation and review of financial statements and related reportsStay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and participate in ongoing training and professional development activitiesAlways follow Firm policies and proceduresIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service qualityLiaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients when requestedHandle compliance and administrative tasks, including client record maintenance and data entryLiaise with clients to answer queries, provide regular updates and proactively request documents and information to ensure that jobs are completed promptlyAccurately complete a detailed timesheet each week.RequirementsBachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (either completed or currently working towards)1 - 2 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation is preferred, but not requiredFamiliarity with tax software (e.g., Xero) will be advantageous, but not requiredAbility to meet deadlines and produce accurate workProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Why Join Factor1?Equal Employment Opportunity Employer: all applicants are treated fairly and not discriminated against on any grounds as outlined in applicable equal opportunity law.Flexibility: Flexibility with regards to hybrid working arrangementsOffice: Mt Waverley location, free car-parkingBenefits: Competitive annual package, equity, rostered days off, and financial incentivesProfessional Development: Opportunities for learning and growth while earningCohesive and supportive team environmentEmployee Assistance ProgramStudy supportRegular team social events #J-18808-Ljbffr
