The residence brings an unprecedented level of affordable luxury to Aged Care and is designed to create an inviting, comfortable, calm and peaceful environment for our residents and families to enjoy.We are currently recruiting for a Recreational Activities Officer on a full time basis to support our Lifestyle Coordinator.About the role:As the Recreational Activities Officer, you will be accountable to the Facility Manager and the Director of Care for the day-to-day management of the resident lifestyle program. Your main responsibility is to ensure that residents social and recreational needs are assessed and carried out, through the development of a therapeutic lifestyle program.What we look for:A recognised relevant qualification in Diversional Therapy, cert IV in Leisure and Health and/or equivalentExperience in or assisting with formulating, facilitating and evaluating activity programs in aged careExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMotivated with an ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.A strong passion for quality in aged careStrong values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Loyalty.Good administration / documentation skillsIntermediate Computer Skills.All applicants must be willing to provide a valid police check and undergo a pre-employment medical & drug test.
