As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient purchasing processes across all departments of the winery.What is the role?Purchase materials, equipment and/or supplies at the best price in accordance with purchasing guidelinesMonitor company purchase orders to ensure orders comply with company policies and procedures in regard to authorisation levelsEnsure pricing in purchasing system is correct for items purchasedLiaise with suppliers regarding ordering, quoting, invoicing, timings and qualityReview and process all invoicing queries and discrepanciesBatch purchase orders and delivery dockets for processingProcess authorised credit card purchase orders and reconcile transactionsFollow up all outstanding purchase ordersMaintain all purchasing recordsAssist with employee company travel bookings and enquiriesEstablish effective working relationship with suppliersAssist in data entry and purchasing administrative activitiesAbout YouOur ideal candidate will possess the ability to learn quickly, have proficient computer skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
