Fixed Term, Part Time (0.8 FTE) Contract for 12 monthsBased in DarwinDo you possess strong engagement and workforce training skills, with the ability to draw on clinical and cultural knowledge to facilitate learning outcomes?Are you passionate about improving the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations impacted by mental illness or wellbeing concerns?If this sounds like you, join our team to help make a difference.The RoleMenzies is looking for an Indigenous Training Lead to provide clinical and training expertise in the development and delivery of training and include mentoring Indigenous and non-Indigenous researchers or trainers as part of our mental health research program, Stay Strong project.The Stay Strong project aims to improve mental health and wellbeing for Indigenous adults and young people as well as rural and disadvantaged populations more broadly, by promoting a holistic approach through a range of resources.Some Key Duties IncludeManaging training activities nationally for the Stay Strong program and eMental Health in Practice project including engagement and consultation with services, awareness raising and promotion, delivery of training and conduct of research and evaluation.Provide advocacy and support in fostering links with partners and stakeholders to promote the implementation and evaluation of the Stay Strong approach, digital mental health and related resources including Wellmob and Head to Health.Provide clinical knowledge and expertise to support effective, relevant, and high-quality training, implementation activities, resource development and evaluation within the Mental Health research theme.About YouAs a highly motivated individual, you will come with strong leadership capacity, and highly developed communication skills.You Also HaveA Tertiary qualification in a relevant health related field with previous experience in a clinical mental health setting.Demonstrated engagement and workforce training skills, with ability to draw on clinical and cultural knowledge to facilitate learning outcomes.A strong track record of delivering high quality training workshops with demonstrated understanding of trauma informed principles and workshop evaluation activities.Please see a full list of primary responsibilities and selection criteria in the position description.Why MenziesMenzies is a national leader in research and education that improves health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and populations across our region.
