Qantas has a range of subsidiary businesses that support the overall operations of the Group.Job DescriptionChallenge yourself to support Payroll activity across the Qantas Payroll Services functionWork with a broad stakeholder group within an Enterprise Agreement environmentFixed-term 6 month full-time opportunity based at Qantas Head Office in MascotAs the Senior Payroll Officer Superannuation, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of payroll & superannuation functions for your allocated portfolio. You will ensure that they are processed accurately to meet award, legislative, statutory and audit requirements, and that all processing occurs within required timeframes. As a superannuation/payroll subject matter expert, you will maintain and manage up-to-date knowledge of payroll & superannuation laws and regulations and assist with proactively managing and resolving payroll queries. You will also identify opportunities to streamline operational efficiency and accuracy, as well as actively contribute to key projects and transformation activities.What Youll Bring To The RoleProven experience processing payroll and managing complex payroll issuesExperience regarding the application of industrial awards, enterprise agreements and legislative conditionsFinancial background, qualifications or relevant experienceExperience with payroll systems such as SumTotal, ADP, Oracle desirableExperience with superannuation Clearing House portals such as QuickSuperIdeally an understanding of Superannuation Legislation and ATO Termination Pay requirements (ETPs etc)High level of computer proficiency including intermediate MS Excel skillsExceptional attention to detail and high level of numeric accuracyStrong time management and multi-tasking abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at varying levelsA proactive approach and the ability to show initiative and work independently as well part of a teamA professional, calm and considered approach under pressure and when working to tight deadlines.Strong customer service focus and continuous improvement approachWhy Qantas?Youll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
