Position SummaryAcuren is currently recruiting for an Advanced Services Guided Wave Technician- UT to support our regional operations based out of Smithville, MO.ResponsibilitiesSet up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipmentConduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspectionEstablish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulationsApply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate resultsInterpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicatorsOrganize and report test resultsPerform specialized inspectionsMay instruct and supervise othersPerform other job-related tasks as assigned by managementRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentSome college preferredLevel II Guided Wave UTMinimum of 3 years experience as a Guided Wave Ultrasonics Level II Technician utilizing Guided Ultrasonic Ltd. equipment (G3/G4/G4m)Must have current GULT Level 2 XB endorsementAdditional GULT Level 2 SP, AA or PM endorsements are a plusAdditional UT certifications (UTSW, PAUT, ToFD) preferredMust be able to be certified to ASNT TC-1A standards and complete Acuren NDT certification testing requirements.
