We are seeking a Civil Lead to join our Brisbane team based in our CBD office. This role provides an opportunity to deliver a strong pipeline of projects for a range of clients, work with technical experts across the Tonkin business and foster the growth and development of a Queensland Civil team.Our ideal candidates would have a minimum of 10+ years experience in civil engineering, be comfortable in both technical and client facing project roles, demonstrated history in managing teams in achieving successful outcomes and business development.About the role:You will be responsible for:Leadership of the Queensland Civil Team through building a culture in the Team that aligns with Tonkins values of Care, Trust, Together and ExcellenceManaging, guiding and reviewing civil engineering design in a range of project types including building civil, greenspace, urban spaces, road upgrades, intersections, traffic upgrades and shared use pathsBusiness development by actively building key client relationships, identifying and pursuing key opportunities and maintaining a pipeline of workEstablishing and driving the strategic direction of the Queensland Civil Team through long term business planningAbout You:To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:10+ years of experience MIEAust CPEng / NER preferredExperience in managing a team in the successful delivery of civil engineering projectsCPEng/RPEQ in Civil EngineeringExperience working and coordinating with architects, landscape architects, contractors, Authorities and clientsExperience in business developmentExperience undertaking design and documentation reviews and providing certificationAbility and willingness to mentor and develop staffExperience in stormwater, pavement grading, earthworks, pavements, roadworks.This is the ideal position for someone who is committed and passionate about furthering their career and would like to join a high performing team who are recognised for technical excellence, finding creative and progressive ways to deliver value for our clients, and putting a value based human touch into crafting solutions that have wide reaching impact.The Tonkin difference:We know people perform at their best when they enjoy coming to work.At Tonkin we offer you the opportunity to work with leading industry experts in a genuinely supportive and caring environment.
