BB covers:Major Client Group (large corporates)Corporate Banking (metro business customers)Regional and Agribusiness (rural/agricultural businesses)Small Business Banking (local small businesses); as well asEquities and Margin Lending (such as CommSec).Business Bank Finance consists of about 80 finance professionals who provide financial performance and analysis services for effective decision-making in the Business Bank division.See yourself in our teamThe Business Bank Finance Centre team handles executive reporting to the CEO, CFO, and Business Bank (BB) Leadership Team. They collaborate with BB Strategy on financial analysis, analyst presentations, competitor reviews, and ad hoc projects.You will work within the Centre finance team to provide high-quality analytical support and detailed forecasts to Business Bank leaders. The primary objective is to deliver forecasts and insights to support senior leadership decision-making, contribute to financial modelling, and improve finance-related processes. Additionally, you will lead and manage a team, set goals, communicate effectively, monitor performance, foster collaboration, and support professional development.Were interested in hearing from people who will aspire toPerformance reporting and development of insight on the Business Bank result on a monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual basisAssisting in half year-end and year-end profit announcement deliverables including results analysis deliverables and CEO Briefing PackProduction of monthly performance reports, including the monthly P&L Flash, Key Metrics packs, CEO/LT packs, and variance/trend analysisMaintenance of critical financial models to help assist in producing BB reporting and insightsAd hoc analysis and insights to support senior leadership decision-makingIdentifying and supporting implementation of process improvementsPreparation of journals and models for the yearly restatement processCollaborating with numerous stakeholders including other Business Units (RBS, IB&M, BW) and Group Finance to achieve desired outcomesMonthly risk and financial control reporting including balance sheet reconciliationsSupporting the delivery of a robust financial control environment and alignment with group policiesOther qualities you may possess includeStrong communication and stakeholder engagementExcellent commercial acumenHigh degree of problem solving and analytical ability with close attention to detailSelf-motivated with an ability to work to deadlines and without supervisionAbility to collaborate and work as part of a teamStrong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsExperience in a busy, time pressured environmentSQL, Alteryx, and Tableau experience is an advantageWorking with us meansWhether youre passionate about customer service, driven by data, or called by creativity, a career here is for you.
