Communications Volunteer - (Assistant Video Animator)To support the creation of an animated video series for our social media channels.Application Deadline: 28th February, 2025Purpose / ObjectiveThe Asylum Seekers Centres communications team is seeking a volunteer to support the creation of an animated video series for our social media channels. This position is best suited for those who have strong storytelling skills and professional experience in video production who wish to offer their skills and/or services in-kind to help ASC.Commitment Period: Flexible, based on the creation of a minimum of five animated videos.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist with the production of five short animated videos (3-4 minutes in length) for the ASCs social media channels.Support the lead animator to develop and implement animation concepts and ideas.Support the communications team in the video shoot of reference materials for animation.Regular progress check-ins with the Communications team (flexible timing).Selection CriteriaAttention to detail and the ability to work with deadlines.Graphic design, animation, and storytelling skills are essential. Sharing a portfolio is necessary.Proficiency in Adobe After Effects (desirable).Experience in working with people from various backgrounds and cultures.Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers.Flexibility and willingness to take on extra tasks as appropriate.Ability to adhere to policies in relation to code of conduct, boundaries, and confidentiality.General ConditionsAll ASC staff and volunteers are required to:Adhere to ASCs vision, purpose, and values.Act at all times in accordance with ASCs Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policies.Comply with Work, Health and Safety systems.Comply with Incident Management Procedures and emergency protocols.Demonstrate respectful and welcoming behavior with all people at ASC in culturally appropriate ways.Undertake a NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement and ensure it is up-to-date.Support a child-safe organization by undertaking screening for suitability to work with children and vulnerable people and comply with relevant state/territory legislative requirements.Apply For Job #J-18808-Ljbffr
