Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescues Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.Roster: 7D/7N/7R - FIFO ex Perth, Broome or Hedland. With the option to go to 2/2 roster in the future.Fortescue is seeking experienced Mining Operators who have operated some or all of the following equipment in a mining environment:854 Wheel Dozer16/24M Grader993/994 Wheel LoaderCAT6060 shovel, CAT 6040, Hitachi 3600, CAT 6030 or Hitachi 2500 excavatorAs a skilled Mining Operator, you will be responsible for operating mobile equipment at maximum efficiency, while maintaining safety, environmental and heritage standards to achieve required operational targets for the business.Key ResponsibilitiesMeet daily operational targetsMaintain assets to operational capacityConstantly strive to increase process efficiencyDemonstrate behavior that aligns with Fortescue valuesComply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basisQualifications and ExperienceAbility to skillfully operate some or all the equipment aboveMobile equipment operation in the mining industry is essentialAbility to read mine plansKnowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act RegsWA Class HR Driver''s LicenseCommunication and interpersonal skills - two-way operationAbout UsBe part of something big.
