Job Description

TCL Solar is currently looking for a Director of Sales to lead and further develop our sales of solar modules to the utility power plant segment in Australia.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIn coordination with APAC leadership, develop and execute TCL Solars sales strategies for Power Plant market segment in Australia, being accountable for the development and execution of quarterly & annual plans.Expand pipeline of sales opportunities across multiple geographies simultaneously by generating and qualifying high-quality leads.Build relationships with electric utility executives and other key personnel at target accounts in the Asian region.Direct regional sales & support team (including proposal and sales analysts) in development of project proposals and responses to competitive RFPs.Develop tactical execution plans for target accounts and assigned regions.Lead all aspects of a complex sales process to successful closing, including contract negotiations with counterparties.Lead messaging, product positioning, and preparation of product-specific training, technical, marketing, sales and support.Direct outside consultant activities retained in support of sales opportunities.Maintain high-level relationships with executives and key personnel in customer organizations during the sales, financing, project execution, and operational phases.Consistently exceed bookings and sales targets through the expansion of new and existing customer markets.Mentor, coach, and develop a productive sales team and help guide activities and objectives for their assigned territory.Work directly with Marketing, go-to-market, sales operations, and market analytics teams to jointly develop tightly coordinated regional business plans.Develop value-based pricing strategies that deliver both top & bottom line growth.Drive the implementation of robust sales forecasting systems.Drive reporting discipline through adoption of our CRM software.Travel internationally to support your sales team, visit customers and other internal company sites.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in engineering, economics or business.10+ years'' experience in energy industry or infrastructure environment, ideally in the electric power generation sector.10+ years'' experience in complex selling: prospects comprise multiple "buyers" in different parts of the organization, selling a value-based proposal to large organizations in the utility sector at executive level.Experience in energy industry, large construction, and/or project finance.Selling US$10-50M+ projects over extended sales cycles to first-time and repeat buyers for whom multiple stakeholders influence the buying decision.Experience introducing new product and service offerings, and developing corresponding value propositions.Experience setting up business-to-business collaborations, and large customer contracts.Experience and knowledge of the most common CRMs (eg: Salesforce.com).High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.Ability to design and present influential presentations.Proven track record of independently achieving sales targets in outside sales roles, producing tangible results in a highly dynamic and competitive market.Understanding of the solar industry, renewable project economics and competitive positioning.Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and a reputation as a team player.Ability to distill and present information in a clear and compelling way for audiences from engineers to executives to customers.Ability to build and strengthen an organization, building structure over time.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:MBA or other related graduate degree.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionMarketing and DistributionIndustriesServices for Renewable Energy #J-18808-Ljbffr
