This role involves evaluating business needs, selecting the right technologies, ensuring seamless system integration, and providing technical leadership across projects.The Solutions Architect will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, vendors, and enterprise architects to ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop end-to-end architectural solutions that align with business goals, technical requirements, and industry best practicesDefine architectural blueprints, standards, and roadmaps to guide implementationEnsure solutions are scalable, secure, and optimised for performance and costEvaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and platforms based on business needsDesign and oversee system integration strategies to ensure seamless interoperability across applications, databases, and third-party servicesEnsure architectural solutions adhere to cloud, security, and data governance policiesWork closely with various functions and key stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designsPartner with vendors to ensure architectural integrity throughout solutions and services offeredProvide leadership on emerging technologies and architectural trendsCollaborate with the Head of Enterprise architecture to establish and enforce architectural principles, frameworks, and best practicesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teamsEnsure solutions comply with regulatory, security, and operational risk standardsAdvocate for best architectural practices across various domains such as information, application, and infrastructureAbout You8+ years of experience in IT (with 3 in architecture roles)Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldCertifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect are preferredExperience in large-scale enterprise environments is highly desirableStrong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersAbility to align technical solutions with business goalsExperience working cross-functionally with business and technical teamsHold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.Benefits at G8Competitive salary packageEligibility to participate in our Short-Term Incentive program which is an annualised bonus each yearHybrid working conditions with 3 days in office and 2 from homeYou have the option to choose out of our two state-of-the-art support offices, located in Brisbane CBD and Central Gold CoastCareer development opportunities as part of a large ASX-listed companyAccess a 50% discount on early education and childcare fees at any G8 Education CentreExclusive access to our G8 Rewards Program with benefits across more than 600 retailers, exclusive cash discounts and more!Our Recruitment ProcessG8 Education is a committed advocate for child protection, safety, and wellbeing.
