Job Description

UGL has a unique opportunity to capitalise on the impending tidal wave of investment in Australia driven by the mega trends of population growth and energy transition; via a streamlined structure with three operating divisions, Major Projects, Transport and Services.Utilities - O&MWithin the Services division, the Utilities O&M (Operations & Maintenance) business has a broad mandate to deliver programmatic services to power, water and gas asset owners, rounding out UGLs service offering providing a one stop shop to the entire utilities asset lifecycle.Building on existing long-term contracts, Utilities O&M is positioned for targeted growth, including:Power transmission / distribution, gas and water maintenance programs across Australia and NZ.Extensive programs of work in power transmission / distribution construction to support increase in renewable energy supply as the push to net zero gathers pace.Participation in the broader CIMIC group offering for major new energy transmission PPPs (such as renewable energy zones, battery storage projects) as the long-term O&M service provider partner.About The RoleA new role to support growth, reporting to the National Manager Strategy & Pre-Contracts, to manage the preparation of tender and proposal submissions. Key duties include:Contribute to the development of winning tender strategies.Lead the compilation of submissions that clearly articulate a winning strategy and be market leading in terms of content and visual impact.Tender response writing and content development.Review tender documentation ensuring a full and complete understanding of the technical and commercial commitment.Evaluate and manage technical and commercial risks associated with new contracts.Client management skills and experience.We are flexible for the role to be based in Brisbane (preferred), Sydney or Melbourne locations.About YouTertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Project Management or similar).A clear passion to be part of a winning team and market leading position in the presentation of submissions in terms of visual impact and response.Contribute to the application of pricing strategies and understand estimating methodologies associated with a variety of commercial models.Significant experience in bidding and managing complex teams and stakeholders across the organisation.Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment with multiple competing demands.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Experience in the utilities sector advantageous but not essential.Please note that relevant screening checks will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
