Every Patient Matters.Job DescriptionWe are hiring for Casuals to join our Orderly team at Epworth Freemasons.The primary function of the Patient Transport Orderly is to provide assistance to clinical departments with patient transportation, assistance with care activities and ensuring the maintenance and provision of equipment and resources. Part of this role entails the movement of other items such as pathology specimens, pharmacy, and luggage; including the transport of deceased to the mortuary. This role will also be required to perform various housekeeping procedures in ward, theatres, common and public areas.You will make an impact by:Safely moving and transporting patients interdepartmentallyEquipment cleaning and maintenanceIdentifying and attending to patient needs and expectations as appropriateWorking cooperatively and collaboratively with all members of the patient care teamTo be successful in this roleYou will need a dedication to patient safety and wellbeing. A great communicator to all, clinical, environmental and 3rd parties involved. To be flexible and able to prioritize jobs on the go.
