We want skilled personnel with a similar mindset to come onboard and further strengthen our Team at Mt Arthur South.About the roleDue to the increased production fleet at Thiess Mount Arthur South we have exciting new opportunities to establish a new Heavy Crew to execute planned maintenance on our Excavator & Drill fleets, located just outside of Muswellbrook, provides a great opportunity for you to expand your skills and grow within a high performing team as a Heavy Crew Trades Assistant.Working a lifestyle roster 5/4 4/5 5/5 12.5-hour days, nights and weekend work, reporting to the Heavy Maintenance Supervisor you will be part of a team that is committed to developing our people.Your responsibilities will include:Escorts and deliveries of tooling, parts, and plant throughout the mine.Assisting tradesmen with planned maintenance strategies on Liebherr Excavators and CAT Drill Fleets.Operate maintenance support equipment (Medium / Heavy vehicles, IT loaders & EWPs)Assist maintenance and warehousing team in staging and clean up of shutdown events.General Trades Assistants tasks and housekeeping.About youHave high standards for personal safety and for othersStrong work ethic and an enthusiastic attitudeRelevant experience in a similar role in a mining environmentHold a C6 high risk license, desirable.EWP & Working at Heights license, desirable.HR licence preferableHave experience in planned maintenance shutdown work.What Thiess can do for youPermanent full-time positionsEven time, lifestyle rostersProduction bonuses (only include for applicable roles)Thiess commitment to training & developmentSalary sacrifice options novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About usAt Thiess, we partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia and the Americas.
