Their primary purpose is to provide independent and objective assurance of the effectiveness of the Group''s risk management, controls and governance processes.GA&As Non-Financial Risk and Support Services (NFRSS) team is responsible for auditing and reviewing CBAs Finance, Risk Management and Support Services functions, including emerging, strategic and operational risks.We partner with all areas of CommBank to provide specialist services, to both customer-facing and customer-supporting teams, in the areas of:Non-Financial Risk areas; including Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) risks, Risk Management Frameworks (strategic and operational), Compliance & Risk Culture.Finance; incl. Group Finance, Legal, Tax, Regulatory Reporting, Business & Support Unit Finance & Investor Relations.As such, we provide comprehensive analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across CommBank conduct and products. From delivering strategic initiatives, management reports and scaling our automated processes, GA&A is an important business partner.As a member of the GA&A NFRSS team youll advise the stakeholders across the Group to identify and mitigate areas of risk and make valuable recommendations on controls. The next phase of our transformation is enabling continuous, data-driven assurance across the 3LoA.Your team adds value by:Ensuring the organisation is taking effective and appropriate steps to identify, address current and emerging risks in the domains of climate change, nature-related risks, biodiversity and other emerging areas of environmental risk.Assisting Business Units to ensure effective implementation of the Group Environmental & Social policy.Leading reviews across a diverse range of business units to assess key risks areas are identified and assessed.Maintaining a focus on the horizon to understand the emerging and increasing regulatory, fiduciary and stakeholder focus on Environmental, Social & Governance Risks and its impact on the business.Were interested in hearing from people who will aspire toLead end-to-end Audit Reviews against the agreed audit plan and deliver audits in line with GA&A methodology.Produce forecasts and insights for senior management as required.Provide coaching, upskilling and guidance to team members on audit processes and Environment and Social (E&S) Risk areas.Assist in the preparation of internal material for engagement, education and upskilling of the GA&A function.Assist in the preparation of Annual Operating Plans and Quarterly Business Review memos.Strive for continuous process improvement/automation of processes to streamline work.Provide independent review of strategic risks across the business.On-going continuous monitoring of E&S activities across Group and the external market, communicating findings to EM and GM where applicable.Stakeholder management and communication skills are paramount in this role.Issue and action validation, with a focus on high and medium rated issues.Contribute to and chair E&S meetings.Other qualities you may possess includeExtensive understanding and experience in strategic or operational risk or internal or external audit covering key risk processes and controls.Experience across a domain of ESG practices and processes including one or more of:Climate change and climate-related risk, emissions and greenwashingSustainability reporting and emerging reporting requirementsSustainable finance and responsible investmentSocial impact, Modern Slavery and other social focused processesExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence work cross-functionally, navigating ambiguity while managing multiple audit engagements or priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting accountability of the process and delivering on commitments.Demonstrated experience and knowledge of risk frameworks to manage compliance, strategic and operational risk, ideally with a working knowledge of associated standards.Strong communication (written and verbal) and senior stakeholder engagement with the ability to present and influence the Group Senior Leadership (SLT).Risk Mindset All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.Strong analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysis.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.Working with us meansWhether youre passionate about customer service, driven by data, or called by creativity, a career here is for you.
