An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Travel Consultants to join our industry leading travel agency team of experts in our Ballarat store. We pride ourselves on delivering great service and creating unforgettable travel experiences for our customers.This could be just the right role for you?As a Travel Consultant, you will utilise your exceptional customer service skills and share your extensive knowledge of global destinations and passion for travel. You will be responsible for creating personalised travel itineraries managing the customer experience from beginning to end. Your key responsibilities for the role include:Promote holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, experiences & insuranceBuild relationships with customers face to face and online, managing new enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments and cancellationsFacilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers, using Amadeus GDSConvert enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross selling & up selling of travel productsManage travel credits, refunds and changesAttend sales meetings and achieve targets & KPIsAttend industry events ie. supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel exposOur Ballarat retail store is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Our team work during these hours with the requirement to attend occasional out of office industry events. The business may consider increasing to a 7-day trade in the future, with a requirement for staff to work weekends.What youll need to be successfulCertificate 3 in Travel or higher, preferredGDS experience in Amadeus, Sabre or GalileoPassion for travel industry and personal travel experienceExcellent organisational, attention to detail & problem solving skillsAbility to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productivelyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent personal presentationAbility to attend induction training Monday-Friday for the first 2-3 weeks in CBD Melbourne head office & store.
