You will be able to create a positive impact in peoples lives whilst contributing to improved outcomes for Australia and our people.If you would like to feel a strong connection to your work and you are accountable, committed and open to change, join us in shaping Australias future.About the teamThe Property and Place branch enables the departments property portfolio and supports delivery of the departments purpose: to build a better future for all Australians through enabling a productive, resilient, and sustainable economy, enriched by science and technology.The Property Operations team on behalf of the department delivers the department''s facilities management as well as accommodation allocations, car parking management, business continuity and emergency management arrangements, with a primary objective to ensure all facilities leased and owned by the department are functional and meet business and operational needs.Our ideal candidateWe are looking for a motivated, responsive and energetic person to join our team. Our ideal candidate adds to this culture and our workplace in their own way.What you will doAs the Senior Property Operations Officer, you will:Be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Property Operations approach to the ongoing management of facilities services.Manage and coordinate facilities management repairs, maintenance and minor projects with Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) provider.Provide and maintain property knowledge base and work processes.Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships, including representing the Property Operations team at stakeholder meetings and monitoring performance measures outlined in our service offering.Contribute to the efficient and effective use of team resources to deliver team outcomes.Laboratory support:Coordinate with Lab managers on repairs, maintenance and minor projects for Facilities Management.Close coordination with internal and external stakeholders to minimise impact to laboratories.Undertake risk assessments with Lab managers and the site Quality and Safety teams to minimise risks when planning works.Assist with major projects when required.Responsibilities include facilities management (including within laboratory environments) and general maintenance inquiries, supporting minor project delivery and assisting with major projects when required, maintaining stakeholder relationships and traveling when required.EligibilityTo be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens. Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.NotesThe position is full-time, however, job sharing could be considered. A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette. The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles. This vacancy is NSW - Sydney - Lindfield, VIC - Melbourne - Spring St based, although flexible or remote work arrangements may be considered.
