Based at our head office in St Marys, NSW, you will be responsible for leading a team of 15 highly skilled heavy machinery technicians, ensuring outstanding service delivery, operational efficiency, and a strong customer focus.This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical engineering professional specialising in heavy machinery to step into a leadership role and drive continuous improvement in service quality, technician training, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and manage a team of 15 heavy machinery technicians, ensuring high performance and productivity.Foster a positive, safe, and results-driven work culture.Monitor and manage service workflows to optimise efficiency and customer satisfaction.Oversee all service operations for NSW, ensuring high standards of service delivery to both internal and external clients.Drive customer satisfaction by delivering prompt and efficient service solutions.Resolve escalated technical and service-related issues effectively.Oversee technician training programmes to maintain high levels of expertise in heavy machinery servicing.Identify skill gaps and implement continuous learning initiatives.Stay up to date with industry advancements and ensure the team is trained on new technologies and best practices.Develop and manage service budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.Monitor service KPIs and implement strategies to improve performance.Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.Support business growth by identifying service opportunities and strengthening client relationships.Collaborate with senior management to align service goals with overall business strategy.Qualifications and ExperienceExtensive leadership experience in a service role within a regional or national customer base in a related industry.Proven track record in process improvement, project implementation, and change management.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and CRM software.Strong commercial experience within branch or dealership networks.Ability to deliver operational outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.Degree or Trade Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Heavy Machinery Specialisation) or a related field.Experience managing a team of heavy machinery technicians in a service-based environment.What Makes Semco Equipment Sales DifferentWe are a progressive company with a supportive team.
