Located within the prestigious Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct, we collaborate closely with Sydney Childrens Hospital, the Royal Hospital for Women, and Prince of Wales (public) Hospitaloffering a dynamic and progressive environment.While we are leaders in orthopaedics, neurosurgery, gynaecology & general surgery, we are also one of NSWs premier maternity hospitals, caring for over 1,600 expectant families each year.At Prince of Wales Private Hospital, youll be supported by expert leaders, work alongside a team committed to excellence, and have access to ongoing professional development to flourish and grow in your career.If youre looking to be part of a culture of excellence in an innovative and highly respected private hospital, apply now to join our team.As a Postnatal Ward Manager your responsibilities will include:Providing operational direction for the Birth Suite to ensure efficient and effective managementCoordinating the delivery of midwifery care that is evidence-basedEnsuring the delivery of excellent patient and family-centred care in a team-focused environmentProviding guidance, mentoring, and support to your teamBeing accountable for the effective management of human, financial, and material resourcesUndertaking direct midwifery care, as requiredEnsuring compliance with ACQSHC National standardsCurrent Registration with AHPRA as a registered midwife with no restrictionsRegistered Midwife with at least 5 years experienceProven experience in building and leading high-performing teams with a service excellence approachDemonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholdersDemonstrate a good knowledge base in labour managementUnderstand the requirements of private health fundingA commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused careHigh degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databasesAbility to work cohesively within a team environmentTertiary post-graduate qualifications in MidwiferyA demonstrated understanding of Work, Health and Safety legislationA demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality improvement, change management, models of care, evidence-based practice, and practice developmentWhy Healthscope?
