Interventional Bronchoscopy Fellowship (Perth, Western Australia)Job Reference: -Job Type: Full Time/PermanentLocation: PerthClosing Date:Position SummaryThe Interventional Bronchoscopy Fellowship at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (Perth, Western Australia) led by Professor Rajesh Thomas is a funded, 12-month, full-time training opportunity for a junior respiratory physician or final year advanced trainee interested in a career as interventional bronchoscopist.Our program has trained approximately 25 interventional bronchoscopists from Australia (NSW/QLD/Victoria) and overseas (UK/Malaysia); many have gone on to establish or lead a complex bronchoscopy service.SCGH Interventional Bronchoscopy is a leading program in Australia and one of the busiest. The Interventional Fellow will perform and assist with a high volume and range of complex interventions, including rigid bronchoscopy, airways stenting, recanalization, cryobiopsy, navigational bronchoscopy, linear and radial EBUS, and lung volume reduction/valves. Additionally, there will be opportunities in IP research and bronchoscopy workshops.ResponsibilitiesApplicants must be highly motivated, hard-working, and efficient.
