Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:What youll be doingThis is an opportunity to take control of the process of integrating the financial systems and processes of acquired companies into The Company.The main purpose of the role is ensuring timely transition to smooth financial operations and accurate reporting within the new combined business.Reporting to the GM Finance Group Reporting, Compliance and FP&A, the purpose of this position is to assist with all accounting and financial reporting obligations within the company, especially in the context of newly acquired businesses. This includes monthly management reporting, semi-annual and annual financial statements.Key responsibilities:Acquisition financial onboarding including:Data migrationSystem integrationChart of accounts harmonizationInternal control assessmentFinancial reporting transitionGroup tax, insurance consolidationPrepare and present high quality financial and management informationProvide technical accounting and commercial financial support to the GM Finance and the Finance Business Partners.Duties:Management of external relationships for advisors for the purpose of business combinations/Completion Accounts/PPA/acquisition accountingPreparation and maintenance of all acquisition accounting papers for all acquisitions for the Group.Maintain asset valuation models and impairment calculations according to the requirements of AASBs.Assisting with the preparation and presentation of Monthly management reporting (including commentary).Assisting with the preparation of annual and semi-annual audited consolidated financial statements including ASX reporting obligations (Annual Report, Appendix 4E and 4D).Assist with reviewing and streamlining of accounting policies throughout the Group, including the consistent application of these policies across the Group.Assist with reviewing and streamlining of balance sheet reconciliations throughout the Group, including the consistent application of their preparation across the Group.Assisting in the day-to-day management of the external audit requirements under the guidance of the GM Finance.Assist with the preparation of all technical accounting papers for the Group according to the requirements of AASBs (e.g. Revenue, Leases, financial instruments, segment reporting, and share based payments).Assist with the design and monitoring of efficient and effective internal controls, ensuring the consistent application of these controls throughout the Group.What will make you successful in this role?Skills and Experience:Proven experience in M&A including acquisition accountingTrained with a chartered accounting firm6+ years post CPA/CA qualification experienceStrong technical capability including good up to date knowledge of accounting standards and ASX reporting obligationsExperience in delivery of Group audit and Group Financial Statement preparationPrevious experience in an ASX listed businessAdvanced Excel and financial skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience using large ERP Systems (Dynamics, NetSuite)Qualifications:CA or CPA qualifiedPersonal Attributes:Driven, dynamic and innovativeStrong leadership skillsEffective communicator, able to engage with all levels of stakeholderCommercially astute with a good understanding of value driversSound decision makerStrong work ethic and deadline drivenDiligent with strong attention to detailAble to challenge the status quo and drive improvements to systems, processes and proceduresAbility to work under pressure in a dynamic and growing businessExcellent time management skillsAttention to detail coupled with accuracy and efficiencyWhy is this an exciting opportunity?Atturra is one of the fastest growing ASX-listed advisory and IT solutions companies in Australia, giving you a strong foundation to fulfil your career ambitions.
