Teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.Your role:You will report to the Studio Manager and be an integral part of the team. You will play a critical role by:Creating final cover artwork and developing corresponding spines and back covers based on approved front cover designs.Providing technical expertise in preparing artwork for both print and digital formats.This position requires attention to detail, creativity, and proficiency in using design software. Youll be collaborating closely with designers and editors to ensure the visual elements align with the overall project goals.Your key responsibilities:Implementing, creating and correcting cover artwork from existing ideas from the Design team.Providing highly finished visuals/dummies of approved projects for sales presentations.Producing high-quality artwork using InDesign, Quark Express, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.Liaising with the Production and Editorial departments regarding production schedules, proofing, and corrections, and chasing copy if necessary.Liaising with Editorial, supplying artwork for approval.Liaising closely with production, supplying artwork and working through technical problems (including dealing directly with printers).Providing visuals and sales material to Sales and Marketing as required.Essential experience, abilities and knowledge youll need to succeed:We are looking for a talented, passionate, and confident creative with a good portfolio of proven artwork experience. The ideal candidate will work closely with the in-house Design team as well as the Production team to take the design concept to final, print-ready artwork.A creative portfolio of proven artwork experience.Experience working collaboratively with and building relationships with colleagues across different teams.Ability to take a design from concept to print-ready artwork.Effective communication skills.Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines.Experience using InDesign, Quark Express, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.We are open to considering applicants with varying levels of experience and may offer this position at Assistant level.
