Were about making a difference.About the roleWere looking for a Solution Architect - Digital to join our dynamic Technology Division. In this pivotal role, youll design solutions that drive the evolution of our digital platform, ensuring technical integrity, alignment with strategic goals, and delivering exceptional value to our customers.This is a hybrid role based out of our Melbourne Chadstone Support Office 2-3 days a week.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Deliver Solutions: Develop architectures for digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, security requirements, and technical standards.Innovate and Optimise: Act as a custodian of the digital solution stack, identifying opportunities for improvement and incorporating industry best practices and innovations.Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Digital squads, Product Owners, and stakeholders to align business and customer needs with technical direction.Ensure Platform Excellence: Maintain standards to ensure the digital platform, including websites and mobile apps, delivers engaging customer experiences.Support Governance: Help provide architecture governance within the Digital domain and contribute to the Enterprise Architecture practice at Officeworks.About youWhat Youll Bring:Were seeking a motivated problem-solver with a strong background in digital solution architecture, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Experience:5+ years experience working as a solution architect in the digital and web domains.Significant experience working with modern web application technology stacks (e.g. React.js, Node.js) and public cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP).10+ years in IT, with expertise in software development, design, and architecture.Proficiency in microservice and cloud-native architectures.Familiarity with agile development methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and container technologies like Docker.Experience in retail and e-commerce is desirable but not mandatory.Skills:Exceptional communication and stakeholder management.Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of web/digital architecture.Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement.Education & Certifications:Bachelors degree or above in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.Certifications in Agile, AWS, and enterprise frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) are a bonus.Our cultureIts all in a days work when youre part of the Officeworks community where youre not defined by who you are, but what you can do.
