In this pivotal role, you will develop and execute national sales strategies, managing direct sales to corporate clients and indirect sales via our established network of channel partners. Reporting directly to the General Manager Australia, you will be responsible for meeting ambitious revenue targets and expanding AECO Energys footprint. This role offers an exciting opportunity not only to achieve sales success but also to build and lead a sales team upon demonstrating initial success. A strong interest or experience in sustainability and environmental commodities will be considered a significant advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a national sales strategy encompassing direct B2B sales and indirect sales through channel partners, aligning with the companys growth objectives.Direct Sales Leadership: Engage with key corporate clientsfrom prospecting and pitching to negotiating and closing high-value deals. Maintain and grow relationships with enterprise customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.Channel Partner Management: Leverage and expand our established network of channel partners, including energy brokers and green energy on-sellers. Provide training, resources, and ongoing support to these partners, establishing performance metrics to drive mutual success.Revenue & Performance Management: Achieve and exceed national sales targets and KPIs across all channels. Monitor sales performance data, market trends, and pipeline health, adjusting tactics as needed to capitalize on opportunities or address challenges.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop lead generation campaigns and with product/service teams to ensure offerings meet client needs. Collaborate on marketing initiatives and represent the sales perspective in product development or service improvement discussions.Reporting & Strategy: Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and market insights for the General Manager Australia and senior leadership. Use data-driven analysis to inform decision-making and refine sales strategies over time.Team Leadership & Development: Initially, your sales team will consist of our channel partners. As the business grows and success is demonstrated, you will have the opportunity to recruit, build, and mentor an expanded sales team across Australia.Market Expansion: Act as a champion for AECO Energy in Australia by exploring new market segments and business opportunities. Stay informed about industry developments, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes in the energy sector to identify opportunities for expansion and innovation in our sales approach.Required Qualifications & ExperienceSales Leadership Experience: Extensive experience (8+ years preferred) in corporate B2B sales, with a strong track record in a senior sales management or national/regional sales role. Experience in the energy, utilities, or sustainability sector is highly regarded.Channel Sales Expertise: Proven success managing indirect sales channelssuch as channel partner programs, resellers, or distributorsin addition to leading direct sales efforts. Ability to develop partner strategies and drive results through third-party relationships is essential.Strategic Thinker: Demonstrated ability to develop effective sales strategies and business development plans. Strong understanding of sales funnels, forecasting, and pipeline management, with a history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.Leadership & Team Building: Excellent leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing sales teams. Adept at motivating others, setting clear goals, and fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Able to confidently present to C-level executives and negotiate complex deals. Strong relationship-building abilities with both customers and partners.Analytical & Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and other technology to track performance and inform strategy. Ability to analyze market data and sales metrics to make informed decisions.Sustainability Focus: A strong interest or experience in sustainability and environmental commodities is highly desirable, aligning with AECO Energys commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions.Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
