With knowledge and experience we encourage you to make a difference!About this OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our Maintenance Team at our South Brisbane Factory.Your duties will include:Provide troubleshooting & support services for all PLC and SCADA (Citect) automation works to frontline Electrical & Operation team membersTake a proactive role in understanding the root causes of downtime and designing and implementing engineering solutions to eliminate those causesEnsure immediate reaction to programming breakdowns and urgent work.Ensure all requested and scheduled automation tasks are investigated, planned, executed, completed and closed out on time and on budgetEnsure all PLC documentation and schematics are securely retained, updated and maintained as required.Manage electrical engineering projects and ensure project is adequately planned by developing technical specifications, job instructions / procedures, material and services requirements, labour and skill requirements, tools and equipment requirements, industrial notifications, environmental clearances, permits and safety management plansWork on Continuous improvement projects.Provide information for Maintenance Manager reportingMinimum Qualifications:Bachelors Degree (Desirable), Associate Degree (minimum) in Electrical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering (or similar).RPEQ or chartered engineer (Desirable, but not essential).Proficiency in maintaining automation equipmentExperience with project managementSolid understanding of computer programming and software developmentAbility to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system testsCreative thinking skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA desire to continually upgrade technical knowledgeHigh level PLC & SCADA skillsHigh competency with Rockwell Allen Bradley suite of PLCs, HMIs etcKnowledge of Ci-code (Citect) and SQLExperience in the use of SAP.To ApplyIf you are confident that you have the ambition, drive and competency to succeed in this role, please submit your application, including your current resume by selecting Apply and follow the prompts.Note: Selected candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical.Commitment to Diversity, Equity & InclusionWe are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
