We are now looking for a dedicated Sous Chef to join our team and help maintain our exceptional dining experience.The Role:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef who thrives in a dynamic kitchen. You will work closely with our Head Chef to ensure high-quality food production, manage kitchen operations, and lead the team with professionalism. This role requires someone who is hands-on, passionate about Italian cuisine, and ready to contribute ideas to our evolving menu.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and maintaining high food quality standards.Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in execution and presentation.Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.Ensure kitchen compliance with food safety, hygiene, and OH&S regulations.Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships to maintain ingredient quality.Lead the team in the Head Chefs absence, taking charge of service and kitchen operations.Collaborate on menu development, introducing new ideas and seasonal dishes.About You:3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or senior cook in a fast-paced restaurant.Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, traditional techniques, and modern plating.Passionate about food, with a keen eye for detail and quality control.Ability to work under pressure and handle busy services with efficiency.Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and support the team.Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential).Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.Why Join Us?At Pinos Alexandria, we take pride in fostering a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture.
