We work closely with regulators to provide sustainable financial solutions with the objective of improving our customers circumstances as a pathway to mainstream financial inclusion.An exciting and rare opportunity to join a market leader on a 6-month fixed term contract as a WHS Officer. You will work closely with the broader business ensuring a safe and compliant workplace by updating and implementing WHS policies, conducting risk assessments, providing training, and fostering a strong safety culture in accordance with safety legislation and best practices.Key Responsibilities include:Update, develop, implement, and maintain WHS policies and procedures in line with legislationDocument WHS obligations across the different states and countriesIn consultation with management, implement and communicate work safe plans to employees performing high-risk rolesImplement and ensure ongoing compliance with the overall WHS framework that outlines proactive and reactive activities, frequency, outputs, and accountabilitiesProvide WHS advice, direction, and consultation to the businessThe development, implementation, and monitoring of appropriate policies and procedures to deliver an appropriate compliance framework and minimise riskManage relationships with union groups across the siteImprove onboarding WHS material for new startersReview and update WHS E-Learning modules and propose improvement opportunities as requiredReview and implement improvements to return to work requirements for all statesTo be successful in this role you will need:Certificate IV in Work Health Safety or equivalentMinimum 2 years WHS advisory experienceAbility to communicate complex ideas and advise concepts in an intelligible, common-sense manner to a broad audience as well as listen and interpret stakeholder needs to ensure their requirements are metAbility to influence and drive a safety mindset to key stakeholdersExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalSound understanding of Health & Safety and best practice within a corporate environmentAbility to investigate incidents, analyse data, and provide improvement opportunitiesYou will get the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders and make an impact.
