This position is responsible for implementing initiatives that foster the development of research cluster networks and supporting research collaboration opportunities. The Research Operations Coordinator will contribute to the effective management of research information databases, including tracking grant industry partnering opportunities.Key responsibilities include providing administrative services essential for accurate research data collection, which supports the reporting of the Schools research performance. The role involves working closely with the Deputy Dean, Research and Innovation to deliver high-quality service and stakeholder engagement.Additionally, the Research Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in reviewing and improving existing processes to drive continuous improvement within the research environment. They will work closely with researchers to facilitate internal approvals and track progress to ensure the punctual submission of grant applications.To be successful in this position, you will have:Demonstrated experience in coordinating research initiatives, including the development of research networks and the organization of research engagement events.Strong administrative skills with experience in working with information databases and ensuring accurate and complete reporting on research performance.Excellent organizational abilities to support the regular operations of a research management team.Evidence of contributing to the review and enhancement of processes and procedures within a research or academic environment.Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions in a continuous improvement framework.Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and relevant information to researchers, facilitate internal approvals, and track progress on grant applications.Experience in engaging with stakeholders, including researchers, research committees, and industry partners, to support research operations and project outcomes.Capability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure timely and organized completion of tasks.Proficiency in using research management software and databases, with a strong understanding of technology platforms used in research support and data management.High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data collection, reporting, and administrative tasks to support the successful operation of research projects.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, providing support to colleagues and contributing to a positive and productive research management team.Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.About the CollegeThe STEM College holds a leading position in the science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and health (STEM) fields.
