With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hours drive from the CBD, Melbournes North is fast becoming the place to be!About the Role:The Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED) is rapidly growing since its conception in October 2020. The opportunity to work in and contribute to the development of the VVED service is another opportunity to extend your Nurse Practitioner scope of practice.The Aged/Palliative Care NP role complements the care provided by other health care professionals in the VVED. Aged/Palliative Care NPs work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to Adult, Aged and Palliative Care patients 24 hours a day. This role is a hybrid model of working from home and onsite as required by management.To be successful in this role you will have:Current Registration as a Nurse and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Completed a Master of Nursing or Master of Advanced Nursing Practice (Nurse Practitioner) (or a Master granted equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA plus an approved Therapeutic Medication Management module)Minimum of two years'' experience/employment post-Nurse Practitioner endorsementDemonstrated confidence and independence with Adult, Aged Care and Palliative Care assessmentPrevious experience and knowledge in a diverse range of emergency conditions, palliative care and aged careHold a current prescriber number and be able to apply for a Northern Health provider numberNext Steps:If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
