Utilise your expertise to manage a portfolio of WorkCover claimsAn ongoing, full-time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public ServiceAbout the Business Unit:The Injury Management Coordinator role sits within Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance, a branch of People, Safety, Culture and Communications in the Department of Justice and Community Safety. The Health, Safety and Wellbeing unit provides process, systems and services to support the Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) to meet its responsibilities under Health and Safety Laws (Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, Dangerous Goods Act 1985 and Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013).People, Safety, Culture and Communications'' core functions span the breadth of workplace cultural and people matters, including human resource policy and strategy; organisational culture and change; recruitment, redeployment and retention; performance and development; pay, benefits and workforce reporting; occupational health and safety management; and employment regulations.About the Role:The Injury Management Coordinator is responsible for the day to day management of WorkCover matters across various areas within the department. The role manages processes related to injured employees, including return to work (RTW) using the department''s early intervention program and workers compensation processes. The goal of this work is to return employees to their substantive role in an effective and timely manner.Some of your duties will include:Developing, implementing and coordinating return to work strategies for WorkCover.Consulting with employees and other key stakeholders to resolve OHS, risk and injury management issues.Identifying and analysing internal data to establish trends and patterns that inform injury prevention, OHS risk management and injury management interventions to enhance a safety culture and workforce health and wellbeing.About You:As our ideal candidate, you will possess:Experience with occupational rehabilitation, eligibility and driving return to work outcomes is highly desirable.Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and developments in WorkCover practises and principles relating to occupational health and safety and injury management.Qualifications:Human Resource, Allied Health, Return to Work qualifications including 2+ years of related work experience would be advantageous.How to Apply:Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
