You will need to login before you can apply for a job.Sector: Operations and Facilities ManagementRole: SupervisorContract Type: PermanentHours: Full TimeDESCRIPTIONWe''re seeking experienced Operations Supervisors/Process Assistants to join the team for the upcoming launch of our brand new Fulfillment Center in Cranbourne West.The Operations Supervisor will support the Area Manager and will hold responsibilities in one of the following process areas within the Fulfillment Center Operations: Receive, stow, pick, pack, or ship. You''ll have the opportunity to continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes, ensuring that customer orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively as possible.Please note the shift pattern is based on 4 days on and 3 days off and can also be based on nights (Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday).Key job responsibilities:Support and work in all departments as required.Help support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, and assigning job duties.Provide coverage for Area Managers.Provide policy follow-up and attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline).Track and report ATS/labor hours.Assist the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance.Ensure successful area performance through tracking, reporting, and feedback of associate performance.Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity.Fully understand workflow and daily production goals.Assist in keeping work area clean and organized.Identify and address safety hazards within the work area.Coach associates to work safely at all times.Refer all job injuries immediately to area manager.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience leading, mentoring, and coaching teams.Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail).Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required.Comfortable lifting up to 16 kilos, standing/walking for up to 10-12 hours, and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching, all with or without reasonable accommodation.Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train, and assist team members.Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSLeadership experience directly managing others.Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement.Acknowledgement of country:In the spirit of reconciliation, Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community.
