Compensation based on experience.Reporting to the Executive Chef & Sous Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and providing all food at the Golf course ensuring guests receive efficient and high quality dishes. You will also ensure a clean, sanitary and organized work environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Reviews daily productions with Golf Sous ChefResponsible for prepping and cooking food to the satisfaction of resort standards and in a timely mannerRestocks food items throughout the shift and at the end of the shiftWorks closely with the FOH teamEnsures all health and safety rules are applied and respected (especially HACCP)Ensure workstations are kept tidy and presentable at all timesEnsure detailed cleanliness of all work areasAssist with inventory when requiredAll other duties as assignedTo be fully aware of and strictly observe Health & Safety and fire procedures.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school level English communication skills2 - 3 years experience in the kitchenEnrolled in culinary courses an assetFood Safety Handling Certificate preferredPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/REQUIREMENTSIndoors and outdoorsFast, high pressure environment.Use of sharp knives and tools, hot equipment and liquids, stoves, etc.Standing 90% of the time.Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.Occasional kneeling, pushing or pulling.Ability to work a variety of shifts including, days, evening, weekends and holidays.Benefits of Working at Lora BayGreat people, beautiful location, safe and fun work environment!Paid training!Free golf!Staff (and friends and family) discounts on meals, rooms and golfStaff parties, $$ rewards and recognition program$500 for referring fellow team members and earn $ for bringing in business*Contract completion bonus**Some conditions apply.
