We build strong relationships and work cooperatively with our people, customers and our community to continuously improve our performance and contribute to a smart, sustainable and vibrant Newcastle.We seek individuals who bring diverse perspectives, a continuous improvement mindset, and align with our core values: caring, excellence, integrity, and progress.Job DescriptionAbout the role:This role reports to the Sustainability & Corporate Affairs Manager and supports the delivery of Port Waratahs Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and $850,000 Community Investment & Partnership programme.Key responsibilities include:Support the delivery, reporting and monitoring of Port Waratahs community investment and partnership programme, including funding decisions and community stakeholder feedback.Coordinate the Community Support & Events Committee and the Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group.Building genuine, reliable relationships, and community partnerships.Develop and coordinate an annual plan of community engagement events including communications and employee participation.Act as brand guardian supporting the implementation of the Port Waratah brand across the organisation.Supporting communications aligned to Stakeholder Engagement strategy including social media content development, channel management and photo / videography.Providing administrative support to the Manager Sustainability & Corporate Affairs.Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat we are looking for:Demonstrated experience in a similar role.Relevant qualifications in communications, marketing, journalism, social science, event management or related field is highly desirable.Energetic, positive attitude with a keen eye for opportunities to positively profile Port Waratah within the community.Proficiency in social media content development, channel management, and analytics.Experience in community relations event management and community / stakeholder partnerships.Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Experience in photographic and video editing and managing digital information systems is highly desirable.For initial inquiries or assistance with your application, please call Jess O''Neill or Adrian Button from Beilby Downing Teal on (02) 4044 0400. #J-18808-Ljbffr
