Pharmacist - Medicines Information and Clinical Trials (Grade 2)The Royal Childrens Hospitals (RCH) Vision is A world where all kids thrive. A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas.About the RoleThis is a Fixed Term Full Time or Part Time position to cover Parental Leave for 10 months, at 80 or 40 hours per fortnight within the Pharmacy Department. This role is a combination of two 0.5FTE positions; Clinical Trials and Medicines Information. Candidates interested in part-time options are encouraged to apply for one of the roles.You will be responsible for:Medicines Information: The provision of medicines information to support patients, parents, and healthcare providers.Clinical Trials: The provision of a high quality and efficient clinical trials service.Provision of content for the hospital medicines information Intranet page, Paediatric Injectable Guidelines, Clinical Practice Guidelines, Kids Health Info fact sheets, and other publications, as requiredParticipate in medicines information trainingAssisting the EMR team, as subject matter experts, by reviewing and advising on aspects of clinical buildsClinical TrialsMaintain and develop relationships with medical and technical staff within RCH, The Department of Paediatrics (University of Melbourne) and Murdoch Childrens Research InstituteAssist with the set-up of clinical trialsBe trained in the preparation of GMO productsYour skills and experience:Registered to practice as a pharmacist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency & name appears on the register of the Pharmacy Board of AustraliaSignificant and proven experience in hospital pharmacyPrevious experience in Medicines Information or Clinical trials (desirable)Previous experience in paediatrics (desirable)Postgraduate qualifications or undertaking a postgraduate course in a relevant discipline.
