The JHG-KBR JV have delivered a wide range of important infrastructure projects for the region including, water and sewer pipeline renewals, treatment plant upgrades, civil and road works and reservoir improvements. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Senior Project Engineer to join our Melbourne Water Framework to support multiple capital works projects based in Canterbury, VIC.Your Role:Manage on-site engineering functions through subordinates, which may include Project Engineers, and/or Cost/Planning EngineersObtain relevant design parameter information for incorporation into detailed designs and construction specificationsMonitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary.Coordinate the activities of an engineering team, programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to the engineering staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achievedEnsure that project engineering completion is on time and within budget. Record completed work, costs incurred, materials used and retain progress drawingsAssign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards of supplier, subcontractor quotations/purchase orders as well as subcontractor arrangementsParticipate in planning future requirements including machine tools, ancillary equipment, major plant and labour.Direct site surveys and preparatory work prior to construction.Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of construction work.Communicate and liaise with external vendors, subcontractors for administrative purposesAbout You:A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering5 years + Mechanical experienceStrong experience in Water Infrastructure including Water/Treatment Plant7-10+ years'' postgraduate experience, ideally in a tier one contractor settingLeadership ability to provide mentorship to direct reportsDemonstrated commercial experience to include planning and reporting on progress, cost and riskDemonstrated personal commitment to health and safetyWhats in it for you:Were about connecting your sense of purpose to ours.
