Ward Aide - Inpatient Mental Health facility (512011L3)Department of HealthCommunity, Mental Health & WellbeingCMHW - MH & Statewide ServicesApplications must be submitted by Sunday 23 March, 2025 11:55 PM AESTAward/Classification:Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Health Services Officers, Level 4$62,486 to $65,119 per annumEmployment type:Full TimeRegion:SouthLocation:4 Liverpool Street, HobartThe Department of Health is seeking a motivated and suitably experienced Ward Aide to join their Mental Health Service Team.The Team:Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team at Mistral Place, delivering high quality services in accordance with the Statewide Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Agency policy, legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies. The Ward Aide provides support to nursing and allied health professional staff in the delivery of care to consumers.All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.The Role:Assist nursing and allied health professional staff in general daily care of consumers including bathing, dressing, feeding, and personal care.Participate in and assist with the supervision of consumer activities as requested by nursing and allied health staff.Participate in and assist consumers with their rehabilitation and recovery programs including shopping, meal preparation, serving meals, and community access, as requested by nursing staff or allied health staff.Details of appointment:Permanent full-time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $62,486 - $65,119 per annum.
