You will be responsible for executing plans and building interiors for retail shops, restaurants, bars and other commercial businesses. You may also be responsible for coordinating deliveries, supervising vendors and tradesmen, and communicating with management.What YOU will be doingMaking shopfronts, frames, units and fittings using a range of materials such as wood, metal, glass or plastic amongst others.Creating interiors for the retail, wellness and heritage sectors, or commercial offices, restaurants and bars.Overseeing projects and arranging for subcontractors to do plastering, flooring, heating, lighting and soundproofing etc.Estimating material quantities and costs.Measuring and setting out jobs on site.Working in workshops or client businesses in noisy, dusty, cramped conditions.Site clean-up and defect rectification.Adhere to UNITAs quality standards.What YOU will bring to the roleA minimum of 3 years working within a commercial construction environment (fit out desired).Valid Australian Drivers License.Trade Qualifications in Cabinetmaking, Joinery, Carpentry or Shop Fitting.OH&S White Card.Current First Aid and CPR Certification, or willingness to obtain.Full legal working rights in Australia.Why we are a great place to workEmployee wellbeing initiatives yearly flu shots, quarterly social events across our states, and lots of other fun activities.Active member of the National Association of Women in Construction.Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to guarantee our staff can access help when they need to.Monthly birthday celebrations because who doesnt want a group of construction professionals to sing the ever awkward happy birthday!Branded Merch Enjoy representing UNITA in our decked-out gear.Employee Referral Program Receive a bonus, bring someone you know into our family and we will reward you for it.UNITA is changing for the better and we want employees who are passionate and eager to join us!
