Having a technical interest in the delivery of the projects is helpful.Our client is an established oil and gas services contractor that provides technical engineering and comprehensive services for drilling and reservoir solutions in Australia. They are now looking for an experienced Senior Project Accountant to join their successful team.With an immediate start, we are currently seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join the team on a permanent full-time basis, located at our clients Brisbane office. Hybrid working can be accommodated, with a preference for office-based work while allowing flexibility for some remote days as needed.Reporting to the Finance Controller, the Senior Project Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the finance and project team functions.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Produce monthly / regular project results information for inclusion in management reporting, including analysis on a consolidated, detailed PSL and individual project view.Liaise with Finance Controller to ensure accuracy of financial information included within project actuals, budgets and forecasts.Assisting with innovation of live dashboard and results data within Microsoft Business Central and Jet Reporting using Microsoft Add Ons.Act as finance representative on project meetings, liaising with the Financial Controller on operational day-to-day activities and advise on any issues as required.Liaise with project managers alongside Senior Project Controller and assist them in the interpretation and analysis of their results.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor''s degree in business, engineering or project management.A minimum of 3 years'' experience in a similar role, preferably in the Mining / Oil & Gas Industry.Understanding of project accounting concepts and principles.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required. Experience with Microsoft Business Central and Microsoft Power BI is desirable and considered a bonus.Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Strong sense of personal ethics & integrity.Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a broader team.Benefits package includes work-life balance, health, and financial security.
