Traffic EngineerWe are seeking a Traffic Safety Engineer to join the Traffic Safety Services Department.The Traffic Safety Services Department is responsible for promoting a safe driving culture and enhancing safe driving experiences on roads by providing best-in-class traffic safety services that contribute to the Kingdom 2030 vision.Your primary role is to perform professional specialized transportation and traffic safety engineering tasks and participate in developing efficient and effective traffic safety initiatives, policies, and action plans for a safer working and living environment within the company facilities. Position tasks would include, but are not limited to, roadway design reviews, accident investigation/analysis, road safety assessments, and the development of remedial countermeasures.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a technical lead for various traffic safety engineering-related work tasks.Interface with company representatives and government authorities to address traffic and transportation safety improvements in the Eastern Province.Provide technical support to various internal and external entities to improve traffic mobility and safety.Support proponents in developing project scopes, proposals, and schematics for packages related to roads and traffic safety improvements.Review and provide initial inputs on design and specifications of roadway schemes within and around company facilities utilizing applicable industry standards and guidelines.Participate in efforts to develop initiatives and identify areas for traffic safety improvements based on international best practices and emerging technologies.Participate in investigations of traffic accidents involving company employees and contractors within company premises.Program, coordinate, and prioritize technical task activities and assign them to pertinent resources.Enhance internal technical capacity by establishing proper training and developing efficient processes for knowledge sharing/transfer.QualificationsBachelors degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree with emphasis on Transportation and Traffic Engineering is preferred.15 years of experience in Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Studies, including at least 10 years in Traffic Safety-related projects.Technical proficiency in road design, transport planning, and traffic safety studies.Familiarity with local and international standards and guidelines.Professional certification and licenses are required.Ability to conduct site visits and assessments.Proficiency in transportation/traffic analysis and simulation software.Project management and resource planning knowledge is required.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Seniority LevelAssociateEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionOil and Gas and Civil Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr
