This role provides guidance, technical expertise, and escalation support to the payroll team, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.Oversee and coordinate day-to-day payroll activities, ensuring payroll processing aligns with legislative, industrial, and company requirements.Guide and support Payroll Officers, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to processes.Monitor payroll accuracy and compliance, proactively identifying and addressing discrepancies.Act as the first point of escalation for Payroll Officers, investigating and resolving payroll-related issues before they reach the Payroll Manager.Ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll-related deductions, contributions, and benefits, including industry and company superannuation.Drive process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and service delivery.Maintain payroll governance by ensuring compliance with policies, Modern Awards, and employment contracts.Work closely with the Payroll Manager to implement strategic payroll initiatives.Build and maintain strong relationships with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure seamless payroll operations.Qualifications2-3 years experience in payroll in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Proven experience in leading and coordinating payroll operations in a complex organisational setting.Strong understanding of Modern Awards, payroll legislation, and compliance requirements.Advanced knowledge of payroll and time & attendance systems (e.g., MYOB PayGlobal, Time2Work, ADP).Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for payroll analysis and reporting.Additional InformationIf you are interested in this exciting opportunity with us, please click apply and upload your CV.
