We recognise that each person''s life journey is unique, and some people need support along the way.We are seeking an experienced and dedicated WHS & RTW Coordinator to join our People & Culture team.The role:The WHS & Return to Work Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective workplace health and safety systems across our residential aged care facility and in-home aged care services. This role ensures compliance with Australian WHS legislation, fosters a strong safety culture, and supports employees in their safe return to work following injury or illness.Key responsibilities:Develop, implement, and review WHS policies and procedures in line with Australian regulations and best practices.Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections of both residential and in-home care environments.Provide training and guidance to staff on WHS compliance, incident reporting, and emergency response procedures.Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses, providing reports with recommendations for corrective action.Promote a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety across all services.Ensure WHS compliance with relevant legislative and accreditation standards, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.Serve as the primary point of contact for managing workplace injuries and illnesses.Develop tailored Return to Work plans in collaboration with injured employees, managers, medical practitioners, and insurers.Maintain WHS records, reports, and registers as required.Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal workers compensation legislation and codes of practice.Monitor the progress of RTW plans, adjusting as necessary to meet organisational and employee needs.Maintain confidentiality and accurate records related to workers'' compensation claims and RTW processes.About you:With a focus on providing person-centered care, you display empathy and compassion when engaging with our valued clients.Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent.Return to Work Coordinator certification.Previous experience in a WHS role within the healthcare or aged care sector, minimum of 3 years.Knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and standards relevant to the aged care sector.High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated experience coordinating Return to Work programs.Strong knowledge of WHS and workers'' compensation legislation.Current First Aid Certificate.Current NSW driver''s Licence and a willingness to travel for work.The appointment will be subject to the below clearances:NDIS Worker Screening.Current First Aid Certificate.Apply Now!Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typePart-timeJob functionAdministrativeIndustriesHospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
